I use one monitor for my task list and email and one monitor for what I'm working on. Dual monitors (one horizontal, one vertical) and monitor arms to keep cords hidden and to keep my desk surface clear.I think it really depends on what you do in your office and your job but if it's in your budget - ergo chair, standing desk and a walking pad (that fits under the standing desk).

Plus/Minus a USB-C extension cable or something, that can be made to look as neat as a "proper" KVM switch. I velcro'ed the switch to the cable tray cover on the monitor, so it's out of sight.
BEST KVM SWITCH FOR MAC PC
But there really is only one cable I need to plug into the laptop, the one from the USB-C dock.Īs a bonus, when I switch from work to game mode in the evening, I just shut down the laptop, turn on the stationary PC and press the button on the switch, done. I don't mind the cables to my stationary PC, those have all been tied up and routed under the desk.

The CRG9 has 4 ports, the hub has 3 usable ports(one is lost to connect the monitor's hub), that makes 7 USB devices that I can switch from one computer to the other. Into that dock, I plugged this thing, a switchable USB hub: Īnd to make things worse, I hooked up the CRG9's internal hub to the switchable hub, that makes three USB hubs in a row, totally nothing you're supposed to do, but it works well for me. My current solution(minus the Macbook, I got a thinkpad from work :) ): USB-C dock on the laptop that has HDMI out(I still have it from my previous monitor, a Displayport dock will work as well) and USB-C-PD in.
